Sweet Tooth Sundays: Popovers

I surprised my husband with these for dinner. yeah. thats right. DINNER.

I've discovered that for the most part it doesn't really matter what foods you put together if your in the mood to eat them both. At least that's my excuse for not making more vegetables (who needs vegetables when you can have chocolate?) Like how does Del Taco get away with serving tacos AND french fries??? Those weren't made to go together.

I served my strawberry dessert popovers with spaghetti. so there. (That is why there is tomato sauce in front of the popovers. I tried to scoot it away to take the picture and was going to photoshop the sauce out, but I am feeling too lazy right now.)
Here is my recipe:

  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

1. Preheat oven to 400
2. beat eggs
3. mix in flour, milk and salt until smooth. It will be really runny.
4. fill each cup in a muffin pan 1/2 full (only fills 7-9)
5. bake for 20 min.

enjoy!
