Black and White Stripe Skirt Tutorial

I started by cutting out 4 1/2 inch strips out of black and white satin.

I cut out the yoke from the pattern listed below.

Then I sewed all the strips together to form one big square of fabric.

Then I cut out the skirt pattern (C) from Simplicity 2315. It was pretty basic. Cut and paste. There is only 2 skirt pieces besides the yoke (if you don't put the ties or buttons on it like shown on the front of the pattern), so all I had to do was sew the sides together. Easy.
